“Surprised? If I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than I am right now.” —Clark Griswold
As the son of founder Rick Hutchins, one would think Ricky Hutchins always had a goal to work as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner at the firm. However, early in his college career that was not the plan as he had thoughts of working as a forensic accountant or as a high school guidance counselor. While these are two different paths, he eventually realized he could marry them together into something he loves about working at S&H. “I get to solve problems by following the numbers while providing counsel to individuals and families to help them find solutions to meet their goals.”
Ricky explains further, “S&H is in my blood. The company was formed while I was still in the hospital as a newborn. I have grown up seeing the many ways that S&H has helped not only clients but also its employees. It was good, honorable work, and I knew that it was something in which I could serve well.”
Being a proponent of a balanced life, Ricky practices what S&H preaches. “When not at S&H, you will usually find me with my wife and kids serving at my local church. I am one of the music leaders, so I enjoy working to continually improve my musicianship. If I get some spare time, you’ll occasionally catch me on the tennis court.”
